Completion of Henry Cort Community College
Raymond Brown Building have recently completed a £1.3m three storey SCOLA reclad and adjoining single storey extension at Henry Cort Community College, Fareham. This was RBB’s 12th SCOLA project within the last 3 years.
The project was commissioned by Hampshire County Council (HCC) and started in September 2015, completing July 2016. The project used the Gebrik system and also included the re-roofing of two blocks and link walkways.
RBB had a fantastic relationship with the school and HCC. Even though the project posed many challenges being within a live school environment, our site manager Mike Castle and supervisor Martin Sherred worked closely with the school and HCC on a daily basis to successfully keep disruption to a minimum. Alison Scott, HCC Management Surveyor said:
“I am extremely proud of what we have achieved on this contract and throughout the project I have had heard nothing but praise from the Client for the Raymond Brown Team.”
The result is a striking looking building, with the `harlequin` coloured render panels representing the four school `houses`. RBB is pleased to have been involved with improving the educational environment for the Henry Cort students.
