Raymond Brown Building and New Forest Hotels are celebrating the successful completion of approximately £900k of refurbishment works at Burley Manor Hotel over two phases.

RBB have a longstanding relationship with New Forest Hotels, previously working at their Forest Lodge and Bartley Lodge hotels, and are proud to have been involved in another winning project.

The project involved the refurbishment of 18 existing bedrooms and their en suite bathrooms located within the main building, along with the refurbishment of `front of house` areas, including: the conservatory, dining room, lounge, bar, reception and function room, plus the conversion of existing storage rooms into treatment rooms and three single bedrooms.

Starting at the beginning of September 2016, the works involved a lot of hard work and dedication from the RBB team to achieve the deadline at the beginning of December 2016, ready for the hotel’s official reopening on the 7th December; in time for the festive season.

Following on from the successful completion of the development at the Beaulieu Hotel, New Forest Hotels Group contracted Raymond Brown Building to build the 8 bedroom extension to the Forest Lodge Hotel in Lyndhurst.

Along with the new bedroom block, RBBL’s scope of work also included the refurbishment of the busy bar reception area and creation of an external sun deck area flowing out from the bar.

All works were carried out whilst the hotel remained in full use throughout, to a challenging timescale and needed to respect the various programmes of guest bookings, conferences and key wedding dates. Mini Plant was used in close proximity to hotel to minimize disruption to guests and to protect existing services.

Site Manager Justin Carr kept the build to its challenging programme and delivered the quality of work now expected by New Forest Hotels.
